在5月12日，四川汶川发生了不幸的8.0级大地震，数以万计的我们的同胞在此次灾难中丧失了生命，其中很多是可爱的孩子们。金宝贝已在第一时间向全国各中心发起慈善捐款活动，目前已筹得善款和物资总计达500，000元。爱心不断涌现，捐款还在持续……
可是......
当我们踊跃捐款的同时，您是否知道：因为宝宝年龄小，所以面对此次不幸的灾难，和成年人相比，稚嫩的他们会更脆弱，更容易受到打击和影响。所以在这一特殊时刻，金宝贝中心会尽全力呵护和关爱我们的宝宝，不让这次灾难影响到宝宝的情绪，造成不必要的焦虑。
同样，我们也建议各位家长，当您在家里陪伴宝宝的时候，请尽量不要让宝宝看到太过恐怖的电视新闻画面，以免给他们造成过度的恐惧，在幼小的心灵上蒙上阴影。

Dear Parents,
The recent earthquake and aftershocks felt by the population ofSichuanand neighboring regions have undoubtedly made us feel very sorry and sad.
Gymboree had organized a nationwide charity campaign through our 63 centers inChina. And we’ve raised donations totaled up to 500,000 RMB and the number is growing bigger.
We understand that children of a young age have different sensibilities regarding this kind of crisis and we will keep the moment as heartfelt as we can without making our kids feel any unnecessary stress or concern.
Likewise at home also, please may we request that you refrain from letting your children watch any images on TV that may cause them undue worry or fear.
